Network Engineer

Opportunity for a Network Engineer, to work in person at Dana Gravataí/RS.

We are seeking a multi-talented Network Engineer with a minimum of 5 years’ experience who will ensure the stability, integrity, security, and efficient operation of Dana’s Cisco & Palo Alto Infrastructure to support our core organizational business functions. This position will report to and work very closely with Dana North America IT Infrastructure/Sr. Network Manager.

Responsibilities includes:

·        Analyzing, evaluating, and monitoring network infrastructure to ensure networks are configured to operate at optimal performance

·        Troubleshooting and diagnosing network problems, determining the most appropriate means of resolving problems and issues to improve network performance

·        Monitoring the overall performance of the infrastructure to assess the need for updates, upgrades, enhancements, and recommending options for upgrading and improving the performance

·        Liaising with network carriers and external resources

·        Deploying routers and switches

·        Palo Alto NGFW & Prisma support

·        Circuit implementations and turn-ups

·        Data Center Infrastructure management

·        Wireless networks

·        Hands-on switching and routing

·        Participation in On Call Support

·        Provide support via phone, email, ticketing system (Service Now)

·        Projects as necessary

·        Infrastructure Documentation

Candidates must possess thorough knowledge of all routing protocols (OSPF, HSRP, BGP, EIGRP, ARP, Qos) as well as IPSEC VPN tunnels, DMVPN, MPLS and Palo Alto firewall management experience. Excellent problem-solving skills, interpersonal skills, communication skills as well as a sense of urgency is required. Must be able to work well independently, as part of the team and align well within the Global IT Group.

Requirements:

·        Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or related significant experience required

·        This is an on-site position, residing in Brazil

·        Must speak, read, and write English fluently

Experience:

·        IT Network Engineer: 5 years

·        Configuring routers/switches: 3 years

·        Firewall experience:  3 years
